Much like [[Stoneshire Academy | Stoneshire]], Sartalis is a place of boundless possibilities. In fact, the Academy's founder based his design on the great tree.

Sartalis is a haven created by [[The Fae | the fae]]. It is a great tree, placed outside of the influence of Kirandur. The gods cannot touch it. If Kirandur ceases to exist, Sartalis will remain. It only makes itself known to those who truly need it.

The trunk of Sartalis is completely hollow, with twisting staircases angling down it's curving walls. The interior is lit only by the glowing sap that permeates the tree, which is said to be the blood of [[Kreitorath]], the Great Wolf, the very creator of Kirandur. [[The Fae | The fae]] believe this is Kreitorath's final creation before his retreat from the world.

The sap is what gives the tree it's magic. It forms small nests out of the tree's interior, each one specifically tailored to whomever may need it. Sartalis only appears to those in great danger or under great stress, and who have proven themselves worthy. Many heroes close to death have been brought here to recuperate in absolute safety.
