But in it's deepest points, old horrors, their whispers permeating the waves above them, sit and plot, their deathly voices driving all semblance of normal life away from them.

While the Sea of Hiding has it's share of storms, it's mists are what defines it most. Black and almost impenetrable, they hide the horrors below and above, though they have no magical effect.
