While much of the Stormshatter range is made up of rocky black mountains, the valleys between are typically beautiful, hospitable places, if you know where to look. The foothills are a popular vacation spot for nobles and the affluent, and several farming towns can be found here, taking full advantage of the rich black soil. The deeper you go, though, the more inhospitable the place becomes, and the valleys turn more to tundra and treachery than verdant hideaways.

Many races live in the Stormshatter Mountains. Dwarves mine the mountains, and many powerful dwarf lords hold claim to parts of the range. In the valleys and ranging the slopes are the orcs, and humans can be found hacking out rough existences in the wilds of the mountains.
