Gilmarrow

Gilmarrow is the principle capital city of Gillarast, located on the continent of Ekarett. Built at the forming of the king's treaty at the formation of Gillarast, it's the oldest, and best defended, city in the entire place.

Layout

The entire city is built in a great wheel pattern, with a booming central district, with spokes leading outward, typically only to show station in the city.

At it's center, Gilmarrow's fighting guild's business is booming. The four guilds have their embasies here, and there are also various fighting pits, gladiatorial arenas, shops, trainers, and everything else a fighter in Gillarast could need.

Slightly further out from that, nobles, or rich competitors, live in their manses and manorhouses. The guards have a strong presence here, with their headquarters on the southern side of this area, their patrols branching outward to cover and protect everyone here.

Just beyond this is where the business and religion districts lie, with shops and temples rubbing shoulders.

Finally, beyond this, the poorer peasantry and the slums lie. The stone streets turn to dirt and rocks, and disease and starvation runs rampant here, despite the city governments "best" efforts to keep it in check.

Beyond this is the land of Gillarast, and it's pathways to the various kingdoms.
