Oakanrel

Oakanrel is the seat of power for the elvish kingdom of Nariliel. Built into the trees, the city, from above, looks to be a massive beehive. It has walls around it, consisting of vines and heavy wooden palisades grown out of the trees, with gates that must be moved by mages always on guard.

The city itself is much like Kuloran in that it is tiered, though this has little to no actual meaning. It was merely built that way at the whims of the elves that crafted it. The forest pathways that make up the lower level are kept clear, with flat river stones paving the way. Above that, bridges, ladders, and staircases wend and weave their way up and around and through the trees, the highest being almost a mile off the ground. This all originates with the center tree, the great Korelnai Library. This is where the royal family makes their home, and far, far greater wonders.

The elves living in Oakanrel keep their city hidden purely out of concern for their own safety. They're not a haughty people, in fact they're some of the friendliest and most pious people that Kirandur has ever known. At least, the Oakanrelites. They're known for their many exports: Woodcraft items, bows, and horse tack. They also breed and train legendary warhorses and riding stallions for the nobles of their neighbors. They have a great portion of the city dedicated to pastures and fields for the horses to run and learn.

The suspended market in Oakanrel is legend as well, it's many shops and kiosks held aloft by the treetops it's built upon. The plaza is nearly a mile in diameter, spreading across the tops of several of the strongest trees in all of Sarvenkor, and it's boisterous noise and heavenly smells fill the entirety of the city with an infectious energy found few other places.
