The Stoneshire Academy Of Wonders

The Stoneshire Academy Of Wonders is only one of many magical universities across Kirandur, though it is perhaps the most prestigious and well-known. The Academy specializes in multiversal magic, a magic that permeates the world of Kirandur from it's seas to it's mages. Here, the students are trained to bend a reality to their whim, without letting it run loose and destroy the reality they know and love. They are given a small pocket dimension, and told to work to their hearts content. Some have built worlds in theirs. Others, simple study rooms. But you will always find something interesting behind the miles of doors in the halls of Stoneshire.

The Headmaster of Stoneshire is a powerful mage selected through a process that will be detailed elsewhere. They carry the Key Of Finding, a powerful artifact that can lock and eject students from their pocket dimensions and also reform them if necessary. It is also highly dangerous, for in the wrong hands, those dimensions could be erased, possibly our own, and no one would survive that. The Headmaster also handles typical administrative duties along with his staff.

If dimensional leakages do occur, or if a pocket dimension becomes corrupted, the task force of dimensional purifiers, also known as the Groundskeepers, will be sent in to handle it. They are brave, hardy warriors with limited, but potent, magics and masters with blade and bow, to fight or repel the dimensional tears and set things back to normal.

The Headmaster also sets the appearance of Stoneshire. Some may turn it into a huge island, with each dimension being contained in it's own building. Others, a sprawling building, with a single long hallway filled with doors. Yet others might make it a miles high tower, rippling with energy. Whatever the case, it always remains hidden at the center of Moralon Etherhal, and they are known to take in travelers lost and injured in those hellish wastes.

As is to be expected with a place such as this, many mysteries surround Stoneshire, no matter it's configuration. But those will come to light. In time.
