Emadurel, the Emerald Stone
Emadurel, the Emerald Stone, is the seat of elven military power. The city is built out of a strange green stone, strong and light, created by elven druids in ages past. The city's strange, leaf shaped construction allows it's districts to be individually walled, providing incredible defense capabilities against any would-be invaders. Emadurel Keep, a gift from a mother to her beloved daughter, sits at the base of the leaf, the last bastion if the city is taken. The thick forest surrounding it provides more barriers than any normal army could reasonably expect to march through.
Emadurel has three main districts. To the southwest through the northwestern edge, the market district is built, where the famous vintners and chefs and armorsmiths rub shoulders day by day. In the center, and the largest of the three, is the military district. Often called the Emerald Blade for it's wide, flaring walls, the Royal Hunt has a presence here, as well as the Order of The Branch, a highly regarded order of elven knights, known for their distinct shields made of giant, living leaves. On the eastern side of the city lie the residential districts, from the lowest of the low to the nobles and merchants. In the most southeastern edge of the city, crowded in between the walls, lie the peasants, and the richest nobles and merchants are built closest to the leaf's base.
