The Lizardfolk

The lizardfolk are a proud people, native to Quor Zanin. They make their homes in small, rocky villages bordering the Shoviaad, and spend much of their time taming and training | river dragons, farming riverside fruit trees, and crafting beautiful scrimshaw.

A Rivalry Of Tribes

Lizardfolk have a long-standing rivalry with the lionfolk that wander Quor Zanin's pathways. While the lionfolk wish to defeat the river dragons to prove their valor and win glory, the lizardfolk seek to tame and train them, using them as beasts of burden, and sometimes, beasts of war. Where their rivals are more warlike, lizardfolk are far more docile, but remain fiercely protective. Using their prehensile tails to wield weapons is something they take great pride in, and they have mastered a unique, three bladed fighting style with short stabbing spears or swords.

The lizardfolk and lionfolk have managed to come to a tenuous trade agreement, however, trading in the bones of their hunting prey. Scrimshaw is an artform the lizardfolk take great pride in, and weapons can be crafted from bone, though it does degrade over time. So, the two species come together and trade in it at least once a month.
