Drachaan

The drachaan are wanderers. Cast out as failures and beneath the notice of true dragons, these half dragon, half fae creatures failed in their rituals to become wyvern. They are forever cursed to wear the scaled faces and reptilian eyes of the lesser dragons, but not blessed with the ability to fly. They have their own set of gifts though. They retain all the powers, except flight, they had in their fae form. They are given a lesser breath weapon, a fraction of the power they might have had. Their claws and teeth are sharp, formidable weapons. They are formidable fighters and usually live hermit lives. But when they come forth and fight for a cause they believe in, they are deadly indeed. They will always carry the burden of failure on their shoulders. Most are embittered by this fact. Some have come to terms with it. Some care not at all. It's a new path. One they can forge for their own. One trait they all share though is their lust for glory, to prove they are not weak, as their culture may say they are.
