The Dawnshell Isles

The Dawnshell Isles are a collection of seven islands, arranged in a vague V shape between the southeastern coast of Klagrond and the western coast of Illeskir. One of these islands is Eludoré, which is the southermost.

These seven islands have formed on the shells of great creatures, long dead, long before even the fall of the Old Pantheon. There is an eigth, a smaller shell turned upside down and submerged, and it is the refuge of the vasei, Vasarion's personal creations. The islands, though, have been given a chance to thrive and grow. They are a popular vacation spot for the rich nobility that can afford them, and some have refuges built into them, though they are not often used for that purpose.

The main attraction of the Dawnshell Isles is the history. Historians still work to uncover what these creatures were, if there were more, and if any still exist, sleeping at the bottom of the seas. Numerous treasures are still being found on and below these islands, raising further questions. Ultimately though, the Dawnshell Isles are an oasis on the sea, with plenty of shipyards and repair points for passing ships and pleasure craft.
