Eludoré is an island of great beauty. Set in the midst of the sea of shifting, it's protected by the sea's myriad mysteries, and other self-made magics the island has to offer. It's built on the sides of an ancient, inactive volcano, which has cooled and formed into a temple to the Goddess Eludora. This is where her flock now lives and works. The disciples of Eludora are some of the most beautiful women Kirandur has ever known. They are brought here from a young age, taught the tenets of Eludoran faith, and given gardens to cultivate and manage until their 18th birthday, at which point they are taught in the ways of sexual congress.
That was it's original purpose, and it still upholds that. But the island has become a sort of party location, where rich nobles or influential guests come to make merry, drink heavily, and help the women carry out their worship as it were. Eludoré remains a paradise, with the avatar of Eludora herself visiting every year to pass judgment upon the island. It hasn't been bad, ever, and the disciples hope it stays that way. They may have appeared to let the faith slip into looseness, but they're cultivating the atmosphere like they cultivate their gardens. They are masters of subterfuge, gathering information, and selling it.
Some of the most dedicated Eludorans are sent to the great temple, over the mouth of the volcano, which was sealed and magically warded millenia ago. Here, they train in the way of assassins, with blade and bow, and are sent out to gather information the only way an Eludoran could.

Eludoré

The island of Eludoré is an island, hidden and secretive, somewhere upon the waves of the Sea of Shifting. It is an island created by the goddess Eludora, in partnership with her long-time friend, Vasarion.

Eludoré represents second chances. All the women who are brought here as disciples or priestesses were brought here for a chance to be reborn. Some were escaping abusive situations. Others simply had nowhere else to turn. It is by Eludora's blessing that they found their succor.

Eludoré also represents sexual freedom. Some women on the island are truly celibate and don't take part in the more carnal rituals that take place here, but most of the disciples and priestesses will use sex as a form of prayer, growing their own magical power through the act. It is because of this they often open the island to travelers, nobles, and vacationers of all kinds. They reserve the right to refuse any advances, and should a guest become pushy or violent, they are responded to in kind.

That is yet another aspect of the island. In the open air temple at the top of it's central mountain, the high-priestesses train those interested in the ways of blade and bow. Many of these women eventually leave the island to pursue a higher calling in the ways of espionage, war, or whatever they choose to do with the skills given. Perhaps they will never use those skills again and simply leave to start a family. That is their choice, and they go with Eludora's blessing.

The jungles and mountainsides of Eludoré team with gardeners and farmers, the final aspect of prayer to the goddess that takes place here. Cultivation and care are some of Eludora's core tenets, and they are put to full use here.
