Snow Fae

Usually living close to the tops of mountains, snow fae are wielders of very potent ice magics. In particular, the snow fae living at the peaks of the Stormshatter Mountains are trained and honed into fine fighting mages. Every millennium, a group of fae are chosen for their strong, incorruptible minds and unbreakable spirits and sent into Moralon Etherhal to act as guardians, keeping the hell at bay. But some, mainly those living in the peaks bordering this place, can be tempted by whispers and descend from their lofty perches to find power among Moralon Etherhal. They never find it and are driven mad and twisted into abominations, using their powerful ice magic to wage war upon the guardians, the denizens of Moralon Etherhal, or each other. They are utterly unhinged and extremely dangerous.
