Vyaka

Appearance

Vyaka is a small woman, more bird than human. She stands roughly 4 feet in height, with small, feathered wings emerging from her shoulders and a feathered headdress people speculate may just be her hair. She wears leather armor when in public, and carries a small dagger, which seems to carry the power of the winds within it when thrown.

Relationships

Though a flighty and reclusive woman, Vyaka is a fun-loving free spirit, who takes pleasure in the depths and breadths of the sky. Unlike her husband, Xyranthien, she doesn't often use her domain for destruction. It's a place to be utterly free, peaceful. She will often engage in races with the goddess Sorrelia, who is her closest friend, but few of the other gods know her beyond a passing glance or shared word.

Dwelling

Vyaka lives everywhere and nowhere in the sky. When she needs rest, which is not often, she rests upon a cloud and sleeps miles above the ground. She has no formal audience hall, no place where she sits above anyone. She's far too twitchy and hyperactive for that.

Tenets

Vyaka wants her disciples to feel as free as she does. Live in the moment, she will say, and bring joy with you wherever you fly. She also begs respect for her bird friends, her true flock, and wanton poaching of them will bring out her wrath, which few other things can do.

Ways Of Worship

The griffon cavalry of Kuloran are often disciples of Vyaka, begging her mercy and good winds when they fly into her domain. It is said, if she's feeling particularly gentle, she may fly alongside them, but this is rare and only momentarily. Every year, disciples of Vyaka will fly a kite on the first day of spring in her honor, to have an extension of themselves closer to her.
