Sorrelia
Sorrelia, goddess of horses
Appearance
Sorrelia is a tall woman with an amazonian figure. She wears full plate, sculpted to hug her figure and leave her mobile. She often carries a coiled leather whip on her hip, and a long cavalry sword on the other, with her legendary shield upon her back. Her long blond hair is an unruly mane, and her face, noble and strong, is unblemished. She is often seen riding her pegasus, Avensor, named for the month which is also named after her.
Relationships
Sorrelia is a woman of duty. She works hard to keep her herd in order and well trained, and spends much of her time upon horseback. Her closest companion is Vyaka, and they often go on flights together, one on pegasus, one of their own free will. Sorrelia is another patron goddess for the Storm Fae, many of them looking for pegasi of their own. Sorrelia is the sister of Adinale, and she is known to make her presence on Kirandur known, often taking pleasure with a mortal man, or woman, depending on her fancy.
Dwelling
Sorrelia keeps a huge stable as her keep, wherein the souls of legendary and heroic horses live. If a mighty warhorse dies in battle, it would wind up here, most likely. She takes care of them as best she can, though many of her many, many daughters are usually tasked with this. She has also trained her daughters to be fighting women like herself, and they spend much of that training here in these stables.
Tenets
Sorrelia preaches kindness to horses and the other beasts of burden. She preaches honorable warfare, gives steadiness to the various cavalries of the world, not just horse, and a dedication to one's duty.
Ways Of Worship
The many cavalries of Kirandur, including the griffon cavalry of Kuloran, or the cat cavalry of Frisa Streyis, pray to her, for strength and skill on the battlefield. Farmers will often pray to her as well, when their old plow horse is becoming weak and unsteady after many years of work. The best way to worship Sorrelia is to treat your horse with kindness and respect.
