Briaka, The Icejewel

Briaka is a city of great magical importance. It sits at the peak of a peak of the Zohtraeic Mountains, and sits at the nexus point of five rivers, each of which flows out from the city in a different direction across Hakaoros.

The origin point of the five rivers is a massive whirlpool, contained in the great Temple Of Rain, a huge cathedral to Astarielle. Here, various druids, elementalists and priests study and shape the waters, and keep the rivers from bursting their banks in the city.

The city is a cold, misty place, but it is beautiful for those who don't mind the weather. The city is broken up into five districts, each separated by one of the five rivers, and the chilly mist forms ice crystals, caught by special magics to make huge swaths of the city sparkle.
