Lekyros
Lekyros, God of Nature and Beasts
Appearance
In many cases, Lekyros depicts himself as a simple man. Tall, handsome, with short brown hair, wearing a simple tunic and breeches and carrying a staff of wood, with a living bird perched atop it. He also wears a pendant, a symbol of his lady love Eludora. But sometimes, he appears as a giant of a man, wrapped in vines and with a beard of moss, his living bird friend nestled within it, and his pendant worn as a great wooden shield upon one arm, and his staff now a great club. Lekyros is a gentle sort, though, more akin to an old, friendly dog rather than a grumpy bear. Unless you anger him, of course.
Relationships
Brother to Astarielle and husband to Eludora, Lekyros is a friendly sort. His closest friend is the leader of the gods, Adinale, with whom he finds time to share tea at least once a century. Lekyros loves to debate, and spends much of his time doing so with his wife and his companion, about nothing and everything.
Dwelling
Lekyros lives with Eludora in their great, shared forest which contains all of the universe. He harbors injured beasts and the souls of mighty ones in his domain as well, and cares for everything that lives there without prejudice.
Tenets
When you worship Lekyros, you worship Eludora, so tied is their bond of companionship and love. Her tenets are his, and his tenets hers, and they watch over their flocks with the motherly and fatherly love only they could.
Ways Of Worship
Much like the tenets, the ways of worship for Eludora are the same for Lekyros. Lekyros has been known to answer prayers, however, when it comes to healing beasts and trees. While Eludora has a special kinship with the plants of the garden, Lekyros has ultimate power over all of it. When one prays to Lekyros, he prays to the earth itself. Lekyros is as attentive as he can be, but he can't be everywhere at once, though he wishes he could be.
